HC DrugFree is proud to have been one of the collection sites for the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA’s) National Take Drug Back Day since 2012. During the April 24, 2021 event, HC DrugFree broke our previous record and collected 1,494.5 lbs of medication. This weight does not include the bins of sharps collected! Pictured below is HC DrugFree’s Executive Director with the medication and sharps collected. Sharps are not included in the medication weight and are part of a separate collection.
The DEA has not yet released the total weight collected during National Take Back Day, but we will update the website as more information becomes available.
