Hola, today Teen Advisory Council members volunteered at the Latino Health Fair at the Wilde Lake Interfaith Center. We talked to community members and families about drug usage and prevention while getting to practice our español skills. We should volunteer at other events similar to this because it helps to raise awareness of the harmful effects of drug and alcohol use to the members of our community. We met a community member who has two sons who are fighting a drug addiction. The woman wanted to get some information to find help for her sons. Many children at the event enjoyed taking the coloring books that talk about drug and alcohol prevention through fun activities like cross word puzzles.
