Lt. Governor Visits HC DrugFree's Office - In the KNOW about Opioid Misuse

Maryland's Lieutenant Governor Boyd Rutherford and his staff attended a meeting in HC DrugFree's office on June 21 to discuss the many free services and resources provided by the nonprofit organization. Lt. Governor Rutherford and DrugFree are focused on eliminating the heroin/opioid epidemic impacting Howard County residents and residents across Maryland. Discussion topics included how to better educate our residents on the dangers of using/misusing prescription pain medications, how to secure medications in the home, how to save lives through proven substance abuse prevention efforts, current local data, and much more.
