Interested in working with the team at HC DrugFree? We are looking for self-motivated Howard County professionals with a commitment to providing excellent customer service to youth and adults. We will continue to accept applications because our needs change quickly.
A position may be filled by one individual or more depending on the skills and current needs. Depending on skills and needs, work as little as 10 hours per week or as many as 30+. Advancement possible!!! Grant funded.
Part-time help will be needed throughout this fiscal year, so hurry to let us know your skills and experiences and/or look below for samples of our needs!
Teacher/Facilitator: Let us know if you have experience or formal training in teaching adults and/or youth as well as experience facilitating groups/classes (assist with adult and youth classes, coordinate/facilitate Teen Advisory Council meetings, etc.).
Outreach Assistant/Social Media: We are looking for someone to manage HC DrugFree’s social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram) and electronic newsletter. This individual will use these venues to advertise our programs and events as well as share prevention and educational information with the community. Experience with the above social media platforms is required and please let us know if you have experience with Constant Contact.

Outreach Assistant/Community Events Liaison: We are also looking for someone to assist in planning our large events (drive-thru medication collections, town halls, educational programs, Teen Advisory Council meetings, etc.) and attend other community events to share educational materials about substance use prevention and educate community members about what we do and how they can become involved. Due to the nature of event scheduling, this individual must be available to work evenings and weekends as necessary throughout the year. This individual must be able to carry a minimum of 10 pounds and have their own transportation to events throughout Howard County.

All successful candidates must pass a background check and possess strong organizational skills, writing skills, and computer skills in Microsoft Office applications. These positions may require some attendance in HC DrugFree’s office where COVID-19 risk prevention protocol is in place until lifted or modified at the discretion of HC DrugFree.
