Schools: Open Market for Drugs - Why?

We wouldn't allow guns in schools, why on earth do we tolerate the wide open access to drugs and alcohol in school? Not all kids in HC schools do drugs, and not all of those who do drugs become addicts. But those who do, and among them my daughter who is now in a second rehab facility, get them at school. They are introduced to them IN the school, they buy them AT school, they take them home FROM school. She could get mini bottles of liquor and prescription drugs, or marijuana and other drugs. It is crazy to ignore the fact that schools are the first place kids get introduced to and have easy access to drugs.  --  from a Howard County parent
